Brief Academic Bio:

I am a Professor and coordinator of Informatics and Computer Science at Indiana University, Kokomo. I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee under the supervision of professor Tian Zhao.

My general research interests fall in the broad domain of Software Engineering. The specifics, however, are continually changing but generally include Program Comprehension, Software Maintenance and Reuse, Programming Languages, Cloud Computing, and the Semantic Web. I have been recently focused on research projects that deal with Cybersecurity, Big Data Analytics, Data Mining, and security in the Internet of Vehicles (IoV).

I enjoy teaching both undergraduate and graduate students. During my past appointments as a lecturer at Northwestern University and a senior fellow at Robert Morris University, I taught graduate/undergraduate courses on different topics of computer science, including object-oriented software development, software engineering, Web programming and design, and database design and administration. At Indiana University, I teach programming languages, HCI, and Web application development in the Informatics and Computer Science programs.

I also worked in the IT industry and consulted for various companies. My industry experience broadly focused on software engineering, web application development, systems analysis, and software quality assurance.
